Lifetime buyback

Bring back any En or piece, any time — there is no expiry. We weigh it, verify its purity, and pay you for the metal it contains at our published buyback rate for that day.

You're paid for the metal. The one-time making charge and the GST paid at purchase are not part of buyback — they covered craftsmanship and tax, not metal value.

Gemstones, pearls, beads, enamel, and other non-metal elements carry no buyback value unless agreed by us in writing, and their weight is excluded from the net metal weight.

Trading up to a new piece almost always beats a straight sell-back: on exchange we waive or reduce the making charge on your new piece, so your metal stretches further.

Buyback applies only to genuine En or pieces, identifiable by our hallmark and supported, where possible, by the original invoice. We may decline any item we cannot verify as our own manufacture.

The buyback amount is determined solely by: (a) the net metal weight after removing stones and non-metal components; (b) the verified purity; and (c) our published buyback rate on the day the piece is received and assessed by us — not the day you posted it, requested a quote, or originally purchased it.

Any quote given before physical inspection is an estimate only and is not binding until the piece is weighed and assayed in person.

Buyback value depends on the condition of the piece. The following may be deducted from the gross metal value:

Pieces are paid on their actual current weight. Metal lost to wear, polishing, repairs, or damage is not reimbursed. Heavily damaged, melted, bent, or tampered pieces are assessed at our discretion and may be valued at scrap.

We reserve the right to test purity by any standard method, including non-destructive XRF and, where necessary and with your consent, destructive assay (touchstone/acid or melt). If a piece is found to differ from its claimed or hallmarked purity, we will value it at the actual measured purity, or decline it entirely.

If testing indicates a piece is not genuine En or manufacture, counterfeit, or stolen, we may refuse buyback and are obliged to retain the item and cooperate with authorities where the law requires.

You confirm that you are the lawful owner of the piece and have the right to sell it. We may require government-issued photo ID and a signed declaration of ownership for buyback, in line with applicable anti-money-laundering and record-keeping rules. We may decline any transaction at our discretion.

Payment is made by bank transfer or original payment method, normally within 5–7 business days of final assessment, after funds and identity checks clear. For higher-value buybacks we may require additional verification and a short holding period.

Once you accept the final assessed amount and payment is initiated, the buyback is final and the piece becomes our property.

If you send a piece to us, you do so at your own risk until it reaches us; we recommend insured, tracked dispatch. If, after inspection, you decline our final offer, return shipping and insurance are payable by you. We are not responsible for items lost in transit before receipt.

Buyback and exchange are services we offer at our discretion. We may revise these terms, our buyback rates, fees, and the spread between selling and buyback rates at any time without notice. The terms and rates in effect on the day of assessment apply. Nothing here affects your statutory rights regarding faulty goods.
